A well-designed kitchen is not only about aesthetics, but above all about comfort and functionality. Ergonomics and optimum use of space are key here. One of the most practical solutions are cargo systems - i.e. pull-out racks with baskets or shelves. Why is it worth having them and what options are available? Let's find out!

What exactly is a cargo system?

A cargo system is a modern and highly functional solution that replaces traditional shelves. It consists of a metal frame with wire baskets or full-bottomed shelves and rails to secure the contents. The entire unit can be conveniently pulled out of the cabinet thanks to heavy-duty runners - meaning full access to every stored item, even the deepest ones.

Cargo systems range from small versions for under-cabinet use (Cargo Mini) to medium-sized versions (Cargo Midi) and models for high cabinets (Cargo Maxi). There are also special solutions for corner cabinets, the so-called Cornery.

Why choose a Cargo system instead of classic shelves?

Cargo systems have the advantage of easy access to the contents. No more diving into the depths of a cabinet and rearranging everything to find the one thing you need. The entire system slides outwards, so you literally have everything at hand. What's more, a well-designed cargo hold more than a standard shelf and the zoning of baskets and shelves helps to keep things tidy. And then there's the look - the cargo adds a modern and professional touch to the kitchen.

Cargo for under-counter cabinets

For low cabinets - those located under worktops, the slimline Mini Side Cargo is perfect for managing difficult spaces, such as between the oven and dishwasher. They are a great place for spices, bottles or detergents. AMIX offers them in variants for 15, 20, 25 and 30 cm wide cabinets. Their more extensive version is the Cargo Mini Deluxe - also dedicated to wider 40 and 50 cm wide cabinets. Fitted with a soft-close system and robust runners, they are comfortable, durable and aesthetically pleasing.

Cargo for tall cabinets

The Cargo Midi and Maxi systems are installed in tall kitchen cabinets, especially the increasingly popular pillars. They fit up to 220 cm and cabinets from 15 to 60 cm wide. They are a great alternative to the pantry - they accommodate dry goods, bottles, jars and even smaller white goods.

Importantly - the whole thing slides outwards, giving access from both sides. The Cargo Maxi Magic Corner goes a step further - some of the shelves are mounted directly on the front for even greater clarity and ease of organisation.

Cargo for corner cabinets - cornery

Corner cabinets can be the bane of kitchen planning - they have a lot of capacity but are difficult to get to. Corner cargoes come to the rescue. AMIX offers two models. The first, for a classic hinged front, which allows two two-tier shelves to be pulled out completely. The second - with a front attached to a frame - allows two baskets to be pulled outwards, while the other two move smoothly from the depths of the cabinet towards the front.

Anthracite is the ideal choice for loft or industrial interiors, while white is perfect for bright, Scandinavian and classic settings. It is a fresh choice for those who appreciate lightness and harmony.
