How to make clever use of a corner cabinet in your kitchen?

A corner cabinet is one of the most demanding elements of kitchen cabinetry. Although it offers large storage capacity, in practice it is often the least ergonomic. As a manufacturer of furniture accessories, we know perfectly well that the problem does not lie in the cabinet’s construction itself. The key is its fittings – the right corner system will change the way the corner space is used.
In almost every kitchen designed in an L-, U- or G-shaped layout, there is at least one corner cabinet. It is a mandatory element – but also one of the most problematic.
Why does a standard corner cabinet fail to fulfill its function?
A classic corner cabinet, most often with a single front, has significant depth and limited access to the rear part of the carcass. As a result, stored items are difficult to remove, and the user has to bend down and reach deep inside the unit to access them. Consequently, part of the space remains unused or items “disappear” at the back of the cabinet. In everyday use, this means frustration and wasted potential.
Is this a no-win situation where a corner must mean inconvenience? Definitely not. All it takes is the right fittings to transform it into a convenient and fully functional storage zone. That is why more and more carpenters and designers choose modern pull-out systems that provide full access to the cabinet’s contents. We recommend pull-out shelves and corner-type cargo systems that ensure convenient access and order in a deep corner cabinet.
Corner systems – why is it worth installing them in a corner cabinet?
Modern corner systems enable full or partial pull-out of shelves and baskets from inside the cabinet. Thanks to this, the user does not have to reach deep into the unit – the entire contents “slide out”wards.
Solutions offered by AMIX:
- improve access to products stored at the back,
- increase everyday comfort of use,

- enhance kitchen ergonomics.
AMIX corner cabinet systems
AMIX offers two corner models: Magic Corner MPTJ017E and Magic Corner MPTJ017G, as well as one model of GN pull-out corner shelves. They differ in construction and dimensions, allowing the appropriate variant to be selected depending on the cabinet width.
Details: Magic Corner MPTJ017E is designed for cabinets 80, 90, 100 and 120 cm wide, while Magic Corner MPTJ017G is suitable for cabinets 80 and 100 cm wide. The former allows two two-tier baskets to be fully pulled out of the carcass. In the case of MPTJ017G, only one two-tier basket (the one attached to the front) slides outwards, while the second one automatically moves from the back of the cabinet toward the front. The GN pull-out corner shelves can be installed in cabinets 80–90 cm, 100 cm and 120 cm wide. In this system, two appropriately profiled shelves make optimal use of the space and can be pulled out independently.
All AMIX corner systems are available in two colours: white and anthracite. This makes it possible to match them with furniture fronts so that they harmoniously fit into the interior design.
In all three corner systems, solid basket bottoms and functional railings protect even small items from shifting during use. The stable construction and soft-closing slides with a damping mechanism guarantee smooth and quiet operation – which is extremely important in modern kitchens.
A corner cabinet with a corner system can be an advantage
A well-designed kitchen is not only about the aesthetics of the fronts, but above all about interior functionality. Corner systems ensure that a corner cabinet is no longer a structural compromise, but becomes a fully functional and ergonomic storage zone.
For the designer, it is an element that enhances the overall quality of the project. For the carpenter – a practical solution appreciated by clients. For the user – real everyday comfort.
